How To Get A Contractor License - Washington:

Washington requires a contractor to:

  1. Complete a Master Business Application

  2. Obtain a Unified Business Identifier (UBI) for state tax purposes.

  3. Obtain an Employer Federal ID Number for federal tax purposes by contacting the IRS 

  4. Complete and submit the Application for Contractor Registration with appropriate forms and fees.

  1. Complete and submit a Master Business Application to the appropriate agencies.

  2. Register you with Taxation and Revenue.

  3. Register your Corporation, Partnership, or LLC with the Corporations Division including resident agent service.

  4. Complete and submit Application for Contractor Registration.

  5. Continually work with you until your contractor license is issued.
